DRAGON BALL, although already over, is still continuing to make headlines all over the world in many countries, including Japan. This section is dedicated to tracking down the current happenings of the series. If you're interested in checking out other "news" sites, I suggest the following:

Here's some interesting going-ons in the DRAGON BALL World Wide Web community. This will be a regular section in Latest News, and will handle information submitted about other DRAGON BALL websites. If you would like to have your DRAGON BALL website mentioned here, drop me a line and I'll consider writing a blurb about it (the primary purpose of this section is to let others know about any significant changes to your pages -- e.g. like moving to another server, a makeover, etc. -- so please keep this in mind before writing). I will cover both well-established sites and newly-created ones.Dragon Radar

Releases/Playing This Week | 04/11/98

After stashing the Four-Star Dragon Ball in the ocean, Vegeta flies off, and ends up running into Zarbon, one of Freezer's right-hand men. The two banter on a bit, and begin to fight each other. After taking a few good hits, Zarbon decides to shed his beautiful visage, and display his true form: a hideous, grotesque monster. This new Zarbon proceeds to beat Vegeta silly, leaving him for dead in a lake created by the battle. Meanwhile, Kulilin (Krillen) and Dende finally reach the dwelling of Saichourou (Guru), and the monk learns about the origin of both the Dragon Balls and Piccolo. He is given the One-Star Dragon Ball, as well as another gift: the awakening of the power dormant inside of him.

Dragon Ball #2 is now available in stores. I won't bother doing a review of the comic this time; the quality of the work is more or less the same as before, save for a slightly better translation. Look for Dragon Ball Z #2 next Wednesday at your favorite comic book store.

Policies on News Submission

I have a few rules for those interested in submitting news. I do this in an attempt to both weed out false rumors and keep the flood of unnecessary e-mail down. The rules are quite lax; please read through them carefully before submitting your news tidbits.
  • Provide a source. I will refrain from posting your submission unless you can provide me with a legitimate source that I can track down and validate for myself (as in websites, an image that you scanned and uploaded somewhere, name of a printed magazine, etc.). In other words, I will not accept "my friend told me that" or "I saw it in a magazine but I forget which one" type of submissions. Reviews of products, and other similar submissions, however, are usually exceptions to this rule.

  • Publicizing your site. Make sure your site has something worthwhile to the visitor. If it's just recycled information, images, and files from another site, I won't publicize it through this page. Please strive to make your pages original!

  • E-mail addresses and credit. If your submission is accepted, your e-mail address will be posted on the page to give you proper credit. If you do not wish for it to be displayed, let me know beforehand.
